Conference fees
Flat-rate fee: EUR 150.- or CHF 245.- (including 2 lunches)
Students and participants presenting a poster: EUR 90.- or CHF 145.- (including 2 lunches)
Day pass Wednesday: EUR 40.- or CHF 65.-, students EUR 20.- or CHF 35.-
Day pass Thursday or Friday: EUR 55.- or CHF 90.- (including lunch), students EUR 35.- or CHF 55.- (including lunch)
These fees include events as announced, simultaneous translations (Plenary sessions), documentation, refreshments during breaks, official evening, film presentations and lunches where mentioned. Dinners except Thursday: individual. Additional costs: excursions.

Deadline for registration and payment of fees

Number of participants
The maximum number of participants is 200. If a selection is necessary, the date of registration and the duration of your participation will be taken into account.

Hotel reservation
Please indicate the required number of nights on the registration form. Engelberg-Titlis Tourismus will confirm directly. Please pay your hotel bill in advance by credit card or invoice.

Hotel cancellation
6-4 weeks before arrival: 20% cancellation fee
27-14 days before arrival: 50% cancellation fee
13-4 days before arrival: 80% cancellation fee
Less than 4 days before arrival: 100% cancellation fee

Official evening
The official evening on Thursday is offered by the supporting institutions. Please note that the restaurant is located at an altitude of 3020m. Stout shoes and a warm jacket or coat are recommended.

Languages
Simultaneous translation into German, French, Italian, Slovenian (depending on the number of enrolments) and English will be available during plenary events. However, there will be no simultaneous translation in workshops and project fairs, where English will be the common language.

Posters
Posters can be presented in in three categories: 1. posters presenting projects concerning landscape issues, 2. posters by young scientists, 3. posters presenting institutions.
Please indicate the title and category of your poster on the registration form. One billboard (90x200cm) will be available per presentation. Please send an abstract in English (approximately half a page) by E-Mail to iscar@scnat.ch.

Excursions
Excursion 1: Tourism versus protection? Snowshoeing in the Titlis region; 8-16.00, approx. EUR 30-40 or CHF 45-60
Excursion 2: Historic trail around Engelberg, Monastery and Grafenort; 8-12.00, approx. EUR 10-15 or CHF 15-25
Excursion 3: Natural hazards in the Engelberg valley and on the slopes of Lake Lucerne; 8-16.00; approx. EUR 20-30 or CHF 30-45

Excursion fees are to be paid during the ForumAlpinum at the conference secretariat. The exact amounts of the excursion fees will be fixed depending on the number of participants. For excursions 1 and 3, we recommend trekking boots and suitable outdoor clothing.

Venue and how to get there
The conference will take place in the Hotel Europe at Engelberg (Switzerland), an Art Nouveau hotel built in 1905. Engelberg is situated 96 km from Zürich and 35 km from Lucerne, at an altitude of 1050m a.s.l. A map and all travel information can be found here.
